Where Yamdu is better
Yamdu's interop is the most practically useful thing about it, and it is stronger than most of this category. Movie Magic import, Fuzzlecheck import, and Showbiz Budgeting import and export are in the core feature set on every plan — not add-ons, not enterprise-gated. If your production already lives partly in those tools, or if a financier or studio expects deliverables from them, Yamdu slots into that reality instead of asking you to abandon it. The Story Maker does not export to any of them.
It also ships native iOS and Android apps on every plan. That brings things a web platform genuinely cannot match — an app-store install, push notifications, and tighter access to the camera and device storage for a location manager shooting recce photos. Worth being precise about what it does not buy, though: reading a call sheet or a schedule with no signal works here too, because pages stay available once loaded.
The sustainability tooling is genuinely forward-looking and I would not have expected it. Sustainability sits in the core feature set and CO₂e calculation with Klimaktiv is available as a PRO feature.
